Sanjyot opens the episode sharing how she built Atma Global starting in 2003 with CD-ROMs, transitioned to DVDs, and now hosts content on a streaming platform. Atma has journeyed from being a B2B company providing content through resellers to being a B2C direct-to-consumer company.
Sanjyot touches on the shifts in the way companies view the importance of addressing global issues over the last 20 years. She shares the importance of companies understanding cultural differences and how they affect business.
She shares the mistake that cost Atma three million customers and how they’re moving forward. Sanjyot also talks about launching a new platform at the start of the 2020 pandemic, the two digital marketing channels they’re using most, and the marketing strategy she would go back and use from the very beginning if she were starting again.
